In celebration of the long running Dragon Quest series’ 20th anniversary, Square-Enix has announced today that the ninth instalment, “Hoshizora no Mamoribito” will be out on the DS in 2007 with support for co-op wireless play. Once again, Level 5 will be responsible for the development of this RPG.
Yuuji Horii the scenario writer for the series commented, “I’ve been interested in network games since a long time ago where you can adventure together with other players but, due to server problems the threshold would be too high to handle. With the DS, all you have to do is turn it on and you can link them together.”
At the conference today, the DQ musician Kouichi Sugiyama and Level 5’s Representative Director Akihiro Hino demonstrated the 4 player wireless mode that will be available in the game.

Well now the question is , does this game will see North American Shores?
oh and does DQ:Joker comes to the USA?
This game probably will and maybe Joker too since they’re both DQ games. Maybe some time after the JP releases but there hasn’t been any news about an English release yet as far as I know.
